Potcheen, a fantastic Celtic rock band hailing from Colorado, joins us on Saturday, December 1, at Nine Irish Brothers in West Lafayette, Indiana.
Potcheen have rocked crowds from New York to Alaska and have appeared live in over 2000 shows, with acts as various as Los Lobos, Gaelic Storm, Emmy Lou Harris, Cake, 7 Nations, Les Claypool, Yonder Mountain String Band, Widespread Panic, Ben Harper, Black47 , Big Head Todd & Monsters, Mickey Hart, Little Feat, Tommy Ramone, The Young Dubliners, The Elders, Ben Folds, The Prodigals, The Fray, Split Lip Rayfield, The Gourds, Medeski Martin & Wood—the list goes on and on.
Since 2003 they have released five albums with their sixth, "Take No Prisoners," in production now. Potcheen delivers rapid, high-energy shows, infusing Celtic rock with Bluegrass, Zydeco, Punk, Folk & Americana, all rolled up with a “Pirate Sensibility.”
Named Colorado’s Top Celtic band, they continue to energize crowds with their high-octane, foot-stomping stage shows. The Potcheen crew is made up of a collection of talents from all over the United States, fusing musical backgrounds and cultures into one full throttle rhythmic stew. Needless to say, we’re pretty excited to have them drop in for a night of debauchery. Hope to see you there—but if you can’t make it on the 1st, they will be across town on Friday.
