Celebrating St. Patrick's Day on Both Sides of the River


February 29, 2010,West Lafayette, Indiana.  St.Patrick’s Day is on Wednesday, March 17, and Nine Irish Brothers TraditionalIrish Pub will be celebrating all week long. Nine Irish Brothers in Lafayettewill be featuring a “St. Practice Day” celebration on Saturday, March 13 andwill be featuring live music (see event schedules below), giveaways, and doorprizes.  Both locations will bedressed in green on Wednesday, March 17 and will feature great live music allday, best costume contests, and more.

Greater Lafayette’s fourth annual St. Patrick’s Day Paradeis scheduled to begin at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 20 at the Riehle Plazain downtown Lafayette. A “best Irish” contest will be held at 11 a.m.Participants and spectators can warm up beforehand with an Irish coffee atTippecanoe County’s oldest Irish pub, Nine Irish Brothers in West Lafayette,which opens at 10 AM and will be featuring the best in Irish entertainment allday long.  “You won’t find a better lineup of entertainment anywhereelse in Indiana,” says owner Jerry O’Bryan.

O’Bryan’s Nine Irish Brothers, located on Howard Avenue inthe Levee, serves traditional Irish fare, Guinness by the pint, and featureslive music and the friendly, up-beat atmosphere typical of Irish pubsworld-wide. “We’re providing something you can’t find anywhere else,” saysowner Jerry O’Bryan, “our pub is just like stepping into Ireland.” Nine IrishBrothers, home of the "best pint of Guinness in the United States"according to the makers of Guinness, won't be serving green beer, but they willfeature a host of award-winning Irish and specialty beers.  Recently, Nine Irish Brothers hasreceived a host of accolades nationally and locally, including the designationof serving the best pint of Guinness in the USA from Guinness, “BestAppetizers,” “Best Business Lunch,” “Best Outdoor Dining,” and “BestNeighborhood Bar” from the Lafayette Journal and Courier’s Reader’s ChoiceAwards, and “Best Live Entertainment” from the Purdue Exponent.
