Nine Irish Brothers in West Lafayette welcomes a new band to the area on Saturday, May 8: The Bloody Tinth. This acoustic quintet plays many of the Irish standards with a refreshing upbeat and polished flair. A little bit about the name: At the start of the American Civil War it was Cincinnati's Irish boys who answered the call for volunteers. They marched to war as the Ohio Tenth Regiment but came home nicknamed for their bravery and ferocity, "The Bloody Tinth". This band counts Black 47, Flogging Molly, the Dropkick Murphys, Van Morrison, The Waterboys, and the Cheiftains among their influences.
We're excited to have this band perform--join us as we welcome the Bloody Tinth.
