Nine Irish Brothers in Lafayette is throwing a monumental party on Saturday, March 13 to commemorate the official "St. Practice Day!" If you can't call in sick on Wednesday, or if you're like us and just like to have as much fun as possible, get down to Nine Irish Brothers in Lafayette! We'll be featuring giveaways to those who get hear early, and we've got a great lineup in store:
1:00 PM - Roger Drawdy & the Firestarters
This is perhaps one of the most musically talented bands out there right now. Roger, an Irish emigre, is full of great stories and even better music.
5 PM - Mother Grove
Kick-arse celtic rockers Mother Grove hit the stage at 5 PM to continue the fun. Mother Grove is an energetic, talented band with an excellent playlist.
9 PM - The Fisticuffs
It's time to bring it up a notch as the craic gets mighty. The Fisticuffs make their debut at Nine Irish Brothers. The Fisticuffs are an Irish Folk Punk band from the South Side of Chicago, with sounds ranging from Flogging Molly to the Tossers. Formed in 2005 and borrowing from traditional Irish music and punk, their music is similar to an Irish wake mixed with a soccer riot, containing lyrics about hard work, family, heritage at home and abroad, a great many sins, and life on the South Side of Chicago. Whether you're on your feet at the lip of the stage or singing along atop a bar stool, their high-energy live shows have something for everybody.
The doors open at 11 AM!
