Our Lafayette location on State Road 38 welcomes back Ennis Clare, a hugely talented traditional Irish group based out of Indianapolis. Ennis Clare, formed from former members of Hogeye Navvy and from John Andrew Milner also of Highland Reign, features a wide range of traditional Irish music, from jigs and reels to pub songs, to singalongs (and they threw in the song "Alice" for Maggie and the bar, so you've got to love 'em). Ennis Clare kicks-off at 8 PM. Learn more about them at http://www.ennisclareband.com.
New Element is categorized as a “unique blend” of Irish/American/Celtic/Rock played with a contemporary & driving feel. The group has been playing in the Chicagoland area for nearly a decade and is having tremendous success from their performances and recording efforts. Their uniqueness derives not only from their musical skills but also from their high energy stage show. Their sound and personality are very warm and unique as New Element takes its audiences on a must see “musical roller-coaster”. New Element is a top draw at every engagement they perform at, including the Taste of Chicago, Fado Irish Pub (Chicago), Navy Pier, Chicago Celtic Festival, Indianapolis Irish Festival, Jack Desmond’s Irish Pub (Chicago Ridge, IL), Quigley’s Irish Pub (Naperville, IL), Shannon’s Landing (Lansing, IL), Galway Tribes, Frankfort, IL, Valparaiso/ Porter County Gaelic Festival, T.J. Maloney’s (Merrillville, IN) and many other town festivals, clubs, and private events.
New Element has sold over 9000 combined copies of their CDs to date. The group released its newest CD titled “All Four One” (Jan. 2006), which explores the contemporary Celtic sounds that are instrumentally driven along with a few originals written by Mike Horgash and Dan Soto. This effort has been recently reviewed and rated in the Top Ten for 2006 of Chicagoland / Northwest Indiana independent labeled artists.
On many occasions you can also hear the band deliver their own creative versions of many popular artists combining roots rock, contemporary Irish, bluegrass, & Americana, as these lads fuse musical styles as if they were all meant to be their own. Join us on the West side for an exciting new band!
