Although not known by many (and not recognized by most), St. Jerry's day commemorates the birthday of an Irish-American (ahem) "saint." We'll be featuring draft beer specials and giveaways, and we'll be featuring two outstanding acts: Brendan Loughrey at 7 PM and Highland Reign, who will be performing on stage starting around 9 PM. Nine Irish Brothers in West Lafayette is pleased to welcome a new band to the area: The Bloody Tinth. This acoustic quintet is packed with talent and youthful energy, featuring "the best of the Irish tradition cooked over an open American fire." Upbeat rhythms and polished delivery characterize the Bloody Tinth's music, which has been influenced by The Waterboys, Black 47, Flogging Molly, and The Cheiftains, to name a few. Not too many people know this, but once upon a time, before they paved roads, Jerry coached PU Women's Softball. To commemorate his effort towards PU and West Lafayette softball, Jerry will be throwing out the First Pitch at the PU Softball Field on Sunday, May 9 at 1 PM sharp. This celtic rock band from Indianapolis takes traditional Irish and Scottish tunes and breathes new life into them, with driving beats and rhythms and great vocals and solos.
