Yes, Jan is definitely driving tonight! Join us on the evening of Tuesday, May 7, as we celebrate St. Jerry's Day! Although not known by many (and not recognized by most), St. Jerry's day commemorates the birthday of an Irish-American (ahem) "saint." We'll be featuring draft beer specials and giveaways, and we'll be featuring an outstanding Irishman: Brendan Loughrey at 8 PM. See you there!
Our West Lafayette location on Howard Avenue welcomes back Ennis Clare, a hugely talented traditional Irish group based out of Indianapolis.
Celtic fiddler, stepdancer, and entertainer Emily Ann Thompson and her husband, Kelly, return to Nine Irish Brothers in West Lafayette for a fun evening of traditional Irish music. Drawing from a wide variety of world music styles, Emily Ann plays traditional Irish, Scottish, and Canadian fiddle tunes in a fresh and original style. She also sings and adds Irish dance and foot percussion. Kelly accompanies Emily on guitar, percussion, and vocals.
The men from Highland Reign return to Nine Irish Brothers in Lafayette on Friday, May 24 for an evening of great musicianship and great craic. These guys are at the top of their game and are fun, with plenty of drive. If you've never experienced a Highland Reign show, plan on making this one--you won't regret it!
Join us at Nine Irish Brothers in West Lafayette on Saturday, May 18 at 9 PM for an enjoyable evening of traditional Irish music, courtesy of Mossy Moran. Originally from Ireland, Mr. Moran now calls the states his home, but his passion for the old country is evident in his performances. Only at Nine Irish Brothers on Friday, May 17! We're lucky to be hosting Seven Nations as they make their way across the U.S. for their summer tour. Who is Seven Nations? This is a powerhouse band that has played in some of the world's best venues and who always put on a good show. But don't take our word for it:
Another year older (as of the day before), Shawn Fitzpatrick (formerly of the Whiskey Runners) debuts at Nine Irish Brothers in West Lafayette as "The Mickey Fitz Project." Desk Jockey by day, suave guitarist and solo act by night, Shawn is a really fun and talented guy, and we're pleased to have him back.
Reilly returns to Nine Irish Brothers in Lafayette on Saturday, May 11 at 8 PM. Reilly is a talented and charismatic Irish rock band out of Milwaukee, home to a great Irish scene. Talented, energetic, and a whole lot of fun, this is one of those bands that--if you haven't heard them yet--you want to catch. If, for some crazy reason, you can't see them on the 11th, they will be playing across town at our sister pub in West Lafayette on Friday.
